A Unique Course Offering
Based on the most current research and inclusive practices for successful inclusion of all learners, this course is a comprehensive learning opportunity that will set you on your path for a classroom that serves and supports every student. With an appreciation for the diversity in learning and behavior we are seeing in ever increasing numbers, feeling confident and competent to serve all is identified as a challenge for the majority of teachers. This course will share the knowledge and skills to guide you in becoming proactive, rather than reactive, with strategies to reduce difficult behaviors. With a reduction in those behaviors, you will be less stressed and feel more confident, and your students will feel less stressed as they come together as a diverse community of supportive and collaborative learners. Taught by a Montessori educator with the education and lived experience for supporting a wide variety of neurodivergence over many years, the most important goal of this course is that you become the educator you want to be- the guide who embraces differences with self-confidence, self-assuredness, and enthusiasm and joy in the important work you are doing.
