Session One: Prevention vs. Reaction- A Montessori-Based Multi-Tiered System of Support

Session Two: A Classroom of Belonging for All- Tier One Best Practices

Session Three: A Peaceful Classroom for All- Responsive Guidance for Managing an Inclusive Classroom

Session Four: Focus and Support on Unique Needs- Tier Two Best Practices

Session Five: Systematic Individualized Intervention Plans- Tier Three Best Practices

Session Six: Parents, Professionals, and Community Resource Partners

 Course Objectives:

  • Understand today's children- characteristics and special needs
  • "Read" behavior as communication for teaching and support
  • Create & manage a peaceful classroom of belonging
  • Understand the strategies & tools in each tier for a continuum of support
  • Observe for a Functional Assessment & Individualized Plan of Support
  • Partner with Parents

Christine shares her many years of experience as a Montessori/special educator and founder/director and classroom teacher of 2 Montessori Inclusive schools serving children with diverse behavior and learning needs. She offers professional development, consultation, and coaching for families, educators, and school leaders.
